can anyone tell me if the bowflex bench press is the same as a regular bench press? im 14 and i bench press 180 (max). i told my dad yesterday to get us a bowflex instead of going to the gym every other day. ive heard some people say that the bowflex
Use free weights. Machines are not your best option at all.
i currently bench on the bowflex with the two handles on the side, so i guess that would be like a dumbbell press. I put 110 on each side and do 3 sets of 8 reps. Is that good? What is that in free weights? I am about 5'7" and weighs about 145.

The Bowflex has been around for years and will certainly increase your strength for bench pressing.
It is effective for strengthening your whole body, but I prefer the TotalGym.
